The 2008 Ohio Grape and Wine Conference
On February 11 and 12, 2008, the Ohio Grape and Wine Conference will take place at Shisler Conference Center in Wooster, OH.
Among the speakers are Steve DiFrancesco, winemaker for Glenora Wine Cellars and Knapp Vineyards in the Finger Lakes of New York; Ramón Mira de Orduna, Associate Professor at Cornell University; and Heidi Orsini, Breakfast Brand Strategist at Wendy’s International.
The conference is jointly organized by the Ohio Grape Industries Committee, Ohio Wine Producers Association, and the Viticulture & Enology Programs at OSU/OARDC.
The full two-day registration with access to the technical sessions as well the as trade show costs $230.
The conference program covers enology, viticulture, and marketing. Sessions include Meritage and Other Premium Wine Blends, Critical Issues with Wine Stabilization Prior to Bottling, Recent Advances in Winegrape Variety and Clonal Evaluations in Cold Climates, Updates on disease, insect and weed control in vineyards, Marketing to the Generations - Tactics and Strategies to Target Customers of All Ages, and Successful Marketing is Innovative and Fun.
