Wine Business Monthly has named Willamette Valley Vineyards in Oregon the country’s “Hottest Small Brand” of 2007.
Jon Fredrikson has named Ste. Michelle Wine Estates in Washington the 2007 Winery of the Year.

Cannon River Winery in Minnesota drew 134 visitors to its Night at the Winery that raised $1,600 in support of Cannon Falls Education Foundation.

Oregon’s oldest winery, dating back to the 1930s, Honeywood began before the Pinot revolution, and this tradition remains strong in their wonderfully diverse offerings of fruit wine. Their mainstays have always been based on the native fruit of the valley: loganberries, marionberries and blackberries. Many wine drinkers have never stopped to smell the roses, so to speak, and have never given fruit a chance. Honeywood makes a strong case for doing just that.
French Lick Winery in Indiana won the People’s Choice for Favorite Wine at 12th Annual Taste of Elegance competition in Indiana. The event is sponsored by Indiana Pork “to inspire innovative and exciting ways to prepare pork.” John Doty, the owner and founder of French Lick Winery, calls the award “a humbling honor.’
